Roselyn Snead

I am a qualified HCPC and BAAT registered Art Psychotherapist with extensive experience of working with adults and young people for over 20 years in different organisations and now as a self employed Art Psychotherapist. I taught art  for many years in adult education, prisons, a secure unit, pupil referral unit and childrens medical centre for young people with emotional, behavioural, medical and mental health issues, risk of offending, self harm, autism etc.  In 2010 I qualified as an Art Psychotherapist at the University of Derby and my work has led me down a different path to deliver 'Art for Well Being' and GP referral therapeutic art courses and workhops in colleges, mental health and homeless charities. I now provide  individual art therapy sessions for clients experiencing a wide range of difficulties including eating  disorders and anxiety by offering a professional, confidential service..

As an artist, and art practitioner I am highly skilled with knowledge of art materials and processes which is an invaluable tool as an

Art Psychotherapist with experience of working with adults and children of all ages who  explore artmaking in very different ways to communicate their thoughts, feelings and emotions..

Art therapy is not an art lesson and can be accessed by any individual to help with a wide range of medical or mental health issues such as anxiety.
